We want to thank the Alaska Airmen’s Association for hosting the Welcome Barbecue at Kincaid Park – It was a wonderful location with an absolutely marvelous view of the aircraft arriving at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Who could have timed it better with Mt. McKinley making a great appearance to the north.
Thanks so much to all of our speakers and presenters for providing great seminars to our guest and attendees. Our planning kept in mind the mission of the Ninety-Nines: to promote world fellowship through flight; to provide networking and scholarship opportunities for women and aviation education in the community; we hope you enjoyed all of our great speakers.
Those of you who flew your own planes to Alaska experienced an exciting but often routine occurence in Alaska, the eruption of one of our more than 100 volcanos that impact aviation in Alaska.We hope your journey to and from Alaska was full of safe travels and adventure.Thanks for coming to Alaska to enjoy Aviation Fun Under the Midnight Sun!
